Thanks to all for another brilliant year for CPR Reds, and please give me your highlights of 2008 in this thread. We managed to bring in a few new faces (more to come in 2009), keep the laughs flowing and sneak in some wins along the way. As it’s the last official game post of the year (until we resume the season in April),  I hope everyone has a great Xmas and New Year and look forward to seeing you all in 2009. (stay tuned for likely scrimmage games and other social nonsense on this blog). Cheers, Paul

Red reserves 2 – 1 Ridgewood

A strange game to say the least as both teams struggled to do anything vaguely worthy of mention in the 1st half, except when we went a goal down. 2nd half saw us come on stronger, score the equaliser and then go on and win the game easily. Many players could have had a hat-ful and Han had the game of his life on the left wing. A good end to the year sees the reserve team finish 7 points clear at the top of the league (see below).

Goals – Sewards, Ilija

MOTM – Han

Reds 2 – 1 Ridgewood

Not sure of where to start this report….. as it was a strange game indeed. Highlights included another brace from the goal machine Zach Kelly (7 in 4 games), a referee blessed with a good sense of time (for us) as the 1st half lasted 36 mins, 2nd half 32 mins, 3 missed chances inside the 6 yard box, more whining women in football history and a win that sees us tidely looking at mid-table obscurity (see below).

Goals – Zach Kelly

MOTM – Zach & The Ref
