Just a quick update on the season and some of the key dates and actions we’ll need to get sorted in the coming weeks. Please make sure you respond and take note:
Start of season ’session’
We’ll be looking to have a kickoff team get together/night out in the next few weeks and have listed Friday Sept 5th as the date. A chance to meet, swap summer stories and generally have an excuse for some laughs!
Registration
Details for season registration to be finalized. A reminder that you’ll need to bring $cash/check for the season and new guys need to bring 3 photos and completed reg forms. Stay tuned as it’s important.
2008/09 Squad
Details of the full squad list are being finalized as we speak and barring injuries, UK Matt style, will be communicated within the next 2 weeks. As you all know we’ve taken on a few new guys, welcomed back some old faces, passed some to other teams in CPR and suffered injuries throughout.
2008/09 Season fixtures
The tentative date for the start of the season is 9/14 although the league have yet to confirm. A note on the 1st game will be coming the moment I find out, but make sure you think about your own schedule. Please delay availability until the notice is posted for 1st game.
Friendlies
Make sure you try your hardest to attend the friendlies we have, and will have, as they’re a good chance to get back into shape and cement your place in the squad and/or team.

I really don’t know what to say, Chilton. As our resident celebrity gossip magazine guy we expect you to stay up on goings-on in the world of celebrity, so we don’t have to. But it seems that over the past year you and your papparazzi cabal have been so busy hounding Britney to the brink of insanity and keeping tabs on Marko’s love-life (also so we don’t have to) that you failed to take note of the international celebrity playing right next to you in the midfield (sorry Javier – I’m not talking about you). As you might expect, it took a real investigator to apply cutting edge investigative technique (read: one Jaeger-bomb) and drag this fantastic story to light. Click on the link below and all will be explained. Suffice it to say – Brendon is going back to Singapore for the girl . . . and because he’s a freakin’ rockstar!

Given that it’s supposed to drop into the single digits tonight, I have serious doubts about the likelihood of getting enough players out to training, nevermind making it through a scrimmage without picking up some serious frostbite. Rather than see who is tough enough/dumb enough to show, tonight’s practice is cancelled. Thanks to those of you who were willing to make a go of it.
